Month 1 – Lesson 5 (M1-L5)

Kriya 2

Mantras to chant after wake up and before sleep

You can chant these mantras, in bed itself while lying down in bed you can chant. You do not have to sit and chant. If you sit and chant it is good. If you feel like not sitting, you can just lie down and chant these mantras. Different mantras are given for morning and night.

  1. Once in morning after waking up
  2. Before bedtime
Kriya 2 a
Mantras to chant in the morning immediately after waking up
  1. Imagine the candle light or deepak /jyoti at your 3rd eye and chant Oum Shreem Guru Dakshina Murthi Namaha – 6 times or any number of times you feel like naturally.
  2. Then, imagine the candle light or depak /jyoti at your 3rd eye and chant “oum hari-hara-brahma Namaha”(Not loudly. You can chant short one or long one) – 6 times or any number of times you feel like naturally.
  3. Then, imagine the candle light or depak /jyoti at your 3rd eye and chant GAMMM.  – 6 times any number of times you feel like naturally.
  4. Then, imagine the candle light or depak /jyoti at your 3rd eye and chant SOUMMMM (SOU like SOUND added to mmmmm sound) – 6 times any number of times you feel like naturally.
  5. If you were chanting any other mantras previously such as Om Namashivaya or Om Namo Narayanaya or any other mantras, you can also add them to this list. Because you had faith in such mantras, you came up to this level. So continuing that faith will add value to this process. You can also add the name of Jesus or Allah or whatever you have the name of God you have had the faith so far.
  6. Then again, imagine light or Deepak / jyoti at your 3rd eye and say to the Guru Shree Dakshinamurthy the form of lord Shiva  – “I am going to start my day. You guide me through all actions in my day. You, be the doer in all actions and you take the fruits of those actions” – Say like that twice and start your day.
  7. You can come out and say Namaste to the SUN. SUN is the visible Kundalini of the cosmos. This is required as there is a connected Kriya to this. So it is good to get habituated with this.
Kriya 2b
Mantras to chant in the night before sleep
  1. Imagine the candle light or deepak /jyoti at your 3rd eye and chant Oum Shreem Guru Dakshina Murthi Namaha – 6 times or any number of times you feel like naturally.
  2. Then, imagine the candle light or depak /jyoti at your 3rd eye and chant “oum hari-hara-brahma Namaha”(Not loudly. You can chant short one or long one) – 6 times or any number of times you feel like naturally.
  3. Then, imagine the candle light or depak /jyoti at your 3rd eye and chant “GAMMMM” – 6 times or any number of times you feel like naturally.
  4. Then, imagine the candle light or depak /jyoti at your 3rd eye and chant “SOUMMM” – 6 times or any number of times you feel like naturally.
  5. If you were chanting any other mantras previously such as Om Namashivaya or Om Namo Narayanaya or any other mantras, you can also add them to this list. Because you had faith in such mantras, you came up to this level. So continuing that faith will add value to this process. You can also add the name of Jesus or Allah or whatever you have the name of God you have had the faith so far.
  6. Then again, imagine light or Deepak / jyoti at your 3rd eye and say to the Guru Shree Dakshina Murthy – “I have done all my actions during the day. I am submitting all those actions and their results to you. I do not know if my actions were right or wrong. But please remove my karma out of all those actions and please keep guiding me to do the right actions” – Say like that once or twice and retire to sleep.

  1. 🙏Namaste OM shree guru, my pranam to you..today morning I was chanting one of my previous mantra OM namashivaya..I was raised my first 4 years in trivandrum at my grandparents which was right next to Shiva temple..Sri kanteshwaram mahadeva temple..in this temple inside there is only Shiva vigraha but its said parvati diety is also present..so because of this inside pradhashan happening 3/4 in clockwise direction, then people come back and do a anti clockwise 1/4 of the circle..I was told because parvati vigraha is not there people not do 360degree..while chanting om namashivaya my body was swinging 3/4 clockwise and then anti clockwiselike how people do the pradarshan..very nice experience..whenever we used to go vacation there grandma always makes me go to this temple and then only will I get breakfast..it was a routine..🙏
